Music Class with Ma Archana, Mr. Rio and Miss Stella
Special music class today for One Earth School Students by Ma Archana, Mr. Rio and Miss Stella. Mr. Rio is violin player and Miss Stella is good in playing some musical instruments such as bodhran (sort of Irish percusion), flute, etc. They are so inspiring the students. At the end, we collaborate to sing some songs and some students play musical instruments such as: guitar, tamborine and drum.
Meeting of Parent Teacher Association Regarding Kindergarten Students
A meeting of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) PAUD was held on Saturday, 22nd July 2017. The meeting discussed ways of synchronizing the school’s vision and mission together with raising children at home. Two parents shared personal experiences on why they choose to educate their children at One Earth School. Both were drawn to the school because it not only focuses on the academic capabilities of children but also on holistic self-development, namely physical, mental/emotional aspects as well as intelligence, and character. One couple also spoke about how their child had become more joyful after attending One Earth School.
Independence Day Celebration at One Earth School
Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia was celebrated in togetherness with students alongside their teachers and parents. A number of activities were conducted including a flag rising ceremony and games involving students, teachers and parents (in an effort to improve togetherness and the ability to work in teams). Besides this, the school and representatives from the Parent Teacher Association also created a food bazaar and there was a lucky draw at the end of the event to heighten interest.
Inauguration of the Dewantara Tagore Library
The Bali Consulate General of India H.E.R.O Sunil Babu attended the official launch of the Dewantara Tagore Library at One Earth School on Wednesday, 23rd August 2017. This inauguration was conducted as a show of friendship between Indonesia and India.H.E.R.O Sunil Babu left a message for all students to never stop reading and visiting new places in order to broaden their knowledge and experiences to enable them to appreciate cultural and traditional diversity. He also commented that he was very happy to receive such a warm welcome at One Earth School and he truly enjoyed interacting with all of the students.
